PressOn have taken delivery of a second SupraCoater 1600 liquid laminator from Atech today, 10 December 2012 to meet unprecedented demand for vehicle vinyl.

Joint MD and founding partner of PressOn, Andy Wilson, said, “We simply had no choice but to purchase a second SupraCoater from Atech. We have seen a great surge in demand for vehicle vinyl over the past 6 months and needed to increase our output to keep up with it.  Lots of the work coming is for media wraps, commercial vehicles and applying liveries to transport. We are really pleased with the first SupraCoater, which we bought last year, so it was a straightforward decision to purchase a second. We intend to keep it very busy!”

Nigel Webster, joint MD and founding partner added, “The SupraCoater 1600 gives us the ability to offer our customers consistently high quality lamination at cost effective prices. The water based liquid laminate we apply is essential when producing vehicle graphics as we need to ensure the vinyl is protected against abrasion and scratches. We also need to guarantee the vinyl will maintain its colour and plasticity to avoid cracking and splitting when fitting to the vehicle. Using the water based laminate is more environmentally friendly, which was a key consideration or us. This second SupraCoater enables us to double our output, enabling us to laminate at speeds of 500 square metres per hour.  It’s perfect for helping PressOn meet the demands of the new projects and high volume orders we are seeing.”

PressOn have reported an unprecedented demand for vehicle graphics from a range of customers.  Demand has been driven by an increase in vehicle wraps for outdoor advertising purposes and for the branding of liveried fleets of commercial vehicles.

The second SupraCoater 1600 from Keundo was purchased through Atech.
