Cadbury’s Joy Cabs Taxi Wraps

Our most recent campaign for VeriFone Media has been an exciting one, printing 21 brightly coloured taxi wraps to advertise Cadbury’s chocolate. We printed 7 different designs, each advertising a different kind of chocolate. To get into the spirit of things the PressOn team have been eating a lot of Cadbury’s chocolate…all work related of course! It seems we’re not the only ones getting involved, the whole campaign has created a lot of media interest with taxi passengers Tweeting #joycabs with a photo of the cab to receive a free bar of chocolate.

Colour matching was a must on this campaign and a lot of time was spent making sure that we printed the Cadbury’s purple in the correct shade. The artwork was supplied to us coloured to a CMYK reference but the client had also supplied a Pantone reference to match to (2685C). We then coloured up the artwork using the supplied Pantone reference and matched the colour on our HP Latex3000 printer using the colour replacement option in the Onyx Rip. Test prints were then supplied to the client to make sure they were happy before printing all 21 cabs. All liveries were printed on our HP Latex3000 and then put through a liquid laminator to seal the prints and give them a glossy finish. Matching graphics for the internal tip seats were printed on our Vutek QS2 Pro from EFI.
