PressOn Wrap World’s Fastest Racing Car

PressOn has wrapped the next World land speed record attempt racing car – BLOODHOUND SSC, unveiled to the World  on 24 September 2015. You can watch the video of BLOODHOUND being assembled and wrapped here.

BLOODHOUND SSC is the World’s fastest and most advanced racing car and will hopefully travels to speeds of over 1,000 mph in October 2016.

Just seeing the vehicle in development up at the Bloodhound Technical Centre in Bristol has been an incredible experience. The car is phenomenal – over 13.5m long and uses jet and rocket motors to produce c. 135,000 thrust hp. It has been eight years in development and has cost close to £13.5 million. The BLOODHOUND project has had input from over 350 companies and universities.

Our job at PressOn was pretty simple; wrapping the body of the car and a 2m high tail fin that provides stability at high speed. The fin was put in place for the first time at the debut last week.

We are now in discussion with the project’s organisers to find the best solution for displaying over 200,000 signatures of the sponsors who have contributed to the project on the vehicle somehow. We just need to find a printable solution that can survive the extreme temperatures the body and fin will reach during the World land speed record attempt.
